Aside from baking, I don’t really use exact recipes and I tend to take creative liberties with what cookbooks refer to as ‘measurements’. I was taught to cook by just eyeing it and seasoning to taste. Most of my recipes will use measuring terms such as a pinch, a dash and a smidge (or smidgen). It may be a little outside some people’s comfort zones, but I encourage you to give it a try. You might like it!
